Welcome to Liberal Praktik!
We offer you versatile internships in several countries that will allow you to explore and learn more about international politics, get valuable experiences in international political work, and receive a unique insight into the political processes within liberal forums. The internships will also provide you with good opportunities to make valuable contacts for the future. At the same time, you develop and are challenged in an international environment, which is guaranteed to give you knowledge and insights you can take with you in your future career.

Are you passionate about human rights or perhaps have a great interest in American politics? Our internships offer you varying opportunities in different places in the world. All places will give you a unique insight into international and liberal politics but the tasks vary depending on location and country.

Application
An internship at Liberal Praktik provides you with a unique opportunity to develop, both as a person and in your skills. The work is often demanding and as an intern, it is important to be open to learn new things and to take on varied challenges with an open and flexible mind. To apply for an internship at Liberal Praktik you have to:
- Have good knowledge of Swedish and excellent knowledge of English. Other language skills are appreciated and are an advantage at several of our internships.
- Be a university student, alternatively having recently graduated, with a passion for politics and society. Completed bachelor’s studies, or equivalent education, is a bonus that we take into account when applying.
- Be a Finnish citizen or permanent resident of Finland. Note that there is no requirement that you have to live or study in Finland if you are a Finnish citizen.
We would like you to be flexible, proactive, and humble as well as open and ready to meet and get to know new people from different backgrounds. You need to be an independent and solution-oriented person who is excited to learn new things and deal with issues that might arise along the way during your work. Previous experiences and activities within associations such as student unions, scouting, or political youth organizations are seen as an advantage.
Each internship offers different types of tasks. We kindly ask you to familiarize yourself with the different locations and take note of their specific requests regarding your skills and qualities of you as an intern. Liberal Praktik is a branch within Svenska Bildningsförbundet rf which is financed by Svenska Kulturfonden. The program was founded in 2006 when the first liberal interns went off to London and Brussels. Today we offer internships on three different continents to about ten interns annually.
